The Sequatchie Valley Railroad (Pikeville Branch Railroad) bridge over the Little Sequatchie River just north of Sequatchie has formed a dam on the river in 1911 when debris floating in the river after it overflowed its bank after heavy rains jammed against the bridge supports. The water soon receded and the bridge was reopened to traffic. Note the south-bound train in the background.
