The flood of May 2003 pushed up the concrete street at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and 3rd Street in downtown South Pittsburg, Tennessee after runoff rain waters from the nearby mountain backed up in the drainage culvert below the roadway. Because the Tennessee River had overflowed it banks after days of endless rain, the culvert was unable to empty into the river thus causing it to backup. Picture made on May 8th by Dennis Lambert
