The Richards' Cemetery is pictured above on October 25, 2005. This cemetery is located out from the old Penn-Dixie Cement Plant in Richard City (South Pittsburg, Tennessee) near the Alabama state-line.   Currently one-half of this cemetery is maintained while the back half is not.

The gravestone for Angus McRae sits near the back of the non-maintained section of the Richards' Cemetery. The stone also has the names and dates of his three daughters inscribed on the two sides. Anne, Barbara Ruth and Janet all died at young ages. Each has a name only headstone marking each grave. Barbara Beene McRae, wife of Angus, is buried between him and their daughters while a son is interred at their feet.

A close-up of the inscription on the headstone for Angus McRae in the Richards' Cemetery near South Pittsburg, Tennessee and the Alabama state-line. McRae, who died in 1893, was responsible for the construction in 1888 of the old Primitive Baptist Church in South Pittsburg. The old church building, which is now known as the Chapel on the Hill, still stands today and was restored by the South Pittsburg Historic Preservation Society.

The gravestone for John B. Woodfin, who was the son of J.G. & M.J. Woodfin, sits near the middle of a row of graves made up of Woodfin family members and members of the Mr. C. L. Cook family, who was married to Ethel Woodfin.  John was born in 1876 and died in 1916.
